Sooo this week was the season finale of the 5th season, yes, time goes fast and the finale season will only have 10 episodes apparently so enjoy it even more next Fall! I can’t believe that it will be almost over, I have followed these series since the very beginning, I’m going to miss it so much. Anyway, so what happened this week in the season finale? Let’s just say A LOT!

WARNING: SPOILERS ALERT!

Last time we ended with Chuck saving his dad and asking what he will tell Lily now and what he will do now. Lily and Rufus are still not talking. Serena is no longer playing as Gossip Girl and Dan is having doubts if Blair really wants to stay in their relationship. As last, a blast was sent out by Gossip Girl, it was a page of Blair’s diary.

Nate wants Lola to move in with him

Nate has decided that he wants to ask Lola to move in with him at The Empire and Bart Bass is also back at The Empire now.

Lola finally has time to talk to Nate and is at The Empire but first she has to talk with her dad who is also there now.  She is asking about her mom’s case but William, her dad has to disappoint Lola by saying that her mom’s future is still pretty uncertain but he doesn’t want hers to be so he arranged CeCe’s half estate to be transferred to Lola. This means that she doesn’t have to live and study somewhere else but that she has enough money to go to a school in NYC and then Nate says to live with him.

Lola talks to her mom who is still in prison and her mom is happy that she finally has CeCe’s money and apparently her mom has found a good defence lawyer. She asks her daughter to not move in with Nate, to not turn her back on the life that she almost screwed up for her. After her mom is gone, she texts Lily asking if they can talk.

Blair angry at Serena for exposing her diary and taking revenge on Serena

Serena admits that she took Blair’s diary when she was Gossip Girl but she was never going to do anything with it, it was just in case. Still, Blair is mad at Serena for what happened.  Blair asks Serena to fix all this and in the meanwhile Blair is going to mobilize all the troops aka her minions to fix all the problems in all the areas, where she has ever written about in her diary. Serena gets a call from Dan and thinks that he is calling because of the diary publication but he hasn’t read or seen it all yet. Then Serena asks him to stay off Gossip Girl.

While Blair is busy with her minions making sure that every area is covered to save future damages, they get a Gossip Girl blast and it’s something from the past, something that both Chuck and Dan shouldn’t see she says. She says it’s Serena’s fault, that she would fix it but that she just made it worse. She asks Penelope to find out every secret that Serena has, she wants to destroy her.

Serena finds out that Blair made Serena lose a job after that happened and Blair is not sorry as Serena exposed all her secrets.

They receive another GG blast and this time it’s about Chuck being a monster and how he will be forever alone. Blair is pissed off again and Serena is talking about how she had everything, a prince, Chuck and that she didn’t need to take Dan away from her. Blair replies with that relationships don’t work that way, that she shouldn have grown up but then Serena confronts her by saying that “you’re still in love with Chuck and you still won’t admit it”. After this, Blair can’t handle Serena anymore and wants her out of her house. “I mean it, I want you gone for good, pack your things.”

Lily & Bart & Rufus

Lily and Rufus both have seen that Bart Bass is indeed live in the papers and on the internet now. Rufus found out that Lily is technically still married to Bart as they never got a divorce and he wants to makes sure that his marriage is still safe. In the meanwhile Bart is visiting Lily and talking about how he went into hiding to save her and Chuck. Bart doesn’t deny that he wants to move back in with her and repair the damage that has been done to their relationship from the past but he understands if she wants to be together with Rufus now and she is happily married to him.

Rufus goes to Bart with annulement papers for Bart to sign. Bart has no problem to sign it as he realised what was the most important t to him while he was hiding and if his signature would make Lily happy then he will do that.

While Lola talks about what happened with her mom in prison at Lily’s place, Lily receives mail with the annulement papers from Rufus and she asks Lola to let herself out.

Lily and Bart have a drink at The Empire and they talk about the annulement papers. Bart thought she knew about it and that she was the one who still wanted to stay married to Rufus but it’s not true at all. Rufus did it behind her back. Rufus steps into their conversation and asks Bart how he got Lily here. Bart leaves to attend the press conference.  Now that Lily and Rufus are alone, Lily is mad at Rufus for having done those annulement papers behind her back. He says that he just wanted to save their marriage and talk things over before Bart could come in between them but then Lily says that their marriage problems were already there before Bart’s return. She says that they haven’t spoken in weeks and that he had no interest at all in working things out until he saw there was competition with Bart. She says it’s her choice to decide who she stays married to and not Rufus’ choice and she rips the annulement papers apart.

Will it be Chuck or Dan?

While Gossip Girl sends out pieces of Blair’s diary, while Chuck is talking to someone, they get a blast saying this “This new romance with Dan is fun, but is cultural stimulation enough? What if I’ll never love anyone more than Chuck?”.  Chuck gets  smile on his face but Dan not of course when he reads the blast as well. Blair visits Dan and asks if he wants to come to the Shepherds divorce anniversary but it’s too late, Dan has also read the Gossip Girl blast already. Blair says that she posted that before they had sex and drunk sex in an elevator changed all that she says. Still, it doesn’t convince Dan because he says she talked about her feelings in that diary piece. Dan: “Blair, I told you I loved you and you pretended you didn’t even hear me.” Blair: “Dan, let’s just put that all behind us.” Dan: “You’re doing it again, do you even want to be in this relationship?” Blair: “Of course.” Dan: “Is the reason that you can’t say you love me because you’re still in love with Chuck?” Blair: “No.” Dan: “Then I need to know how you feel about me by tonight.” Blair: “Dan …” Dan: “We’re supposed to be in Italy this Summer together and I don’t want you coming unless I know where we stand.”

Blair in the meanwhile goes to Chuck asking if he is okay after GG had sent that diary piece out of him being a monster and being forever alone.  She doesn’t want him to be hurt and then he says “why would I be hurt by something that was written in your diary a  year ago” and Blair smiles. Chuck says how they talked through everything and made amends. Then he asks her if there is some other reason why she is there, why she came to see him.  He maybe wonders if she and Dan broke up but she says no. Chuck: “I can’t play this game anymore Blair, I’ve spent the whole year waiting for you, I need to move forward with my life now.” Blair: “Of course, you’re right.” Chuck: “Unless … there is something else you need to say”. Then at that moment she receives a text from Dan saying “If you care about me at all, you’ll meet me at the Shepherd’s party tonight to tell me how you feel”. and then she says she has to go to Chuck.

Blair’s mother Eleanor sees how beautiful and what a grown up woman her own daughter is. Then she tells her mom that she is going to have to make the toughest decision in her life, Chuck or Dan?  She says about Chuck that he has made her happier than she has ever been. She doesn’t know what kind of love is better. She is afraid that her mother thinks she is pathetic because she wants to choose a man, because her mother probably thinks that you can also be powerful without a man. Her mother then says that even “?” have hearts.  Also, her mother says that she finds Blair powerful and Blair can’t believe it and asks her if she really thinks so? Eleanor: “yes, I do, that’s why I want you to take over my company.” That’s what her mother wanted to talk about the whole time, she wants to retire. They hug and Blair will officially take over her mother’s company. Then Penelope comes in and asks what she has missed.

Blair is in the limo and calls her mom to say that she has made her choice and that choice is Chuck. Blair has chosen Chuck.

Chuck and Bart reunited?

Chuck and Bart are talking things over, Bart is proud of his son Chuck that he has built all this up, made The Empire so big. He is proud of how much his son has accomplished. Chuck asks how it was to meet up with Lily after all these years, he answers by saying that he has never met such a wonderful women and that he regrets not treating her better. His father also talks about Chuck’s lovelife and after Chuck tells him that he doesn’t know how Blair feels about him or Dan, his father suggests that this is the best timing and “that noone does a greater romantic gesture than a Bass” and Chuck smiles.

Bart appreciates all the efforts that his son is doing to celebrate his comeback, then Chuck says “to new partnerships”. Bart out of nowhere talks about the Harry Winston ring that Chuck wanted to give to Blair if he would have asked her to marry him. Chuck wonders why he gives back the ring and then his father reminds him of the talk they had earlier, the grand gesture. Lily arrives and asks Chuck if she can talk with him.

At the press conference, Chuck is about to announce that Bass Industries is a family business again, with the return of the man who started all of it, his own father Bart Bass. Then Bart Bass speaks, he thanks his son Chuck for keeping his seat warm and that starting today he will be the only Bass of Bass Industries. Poor Chuck, he is all shocked and can’t believe it of course.

Bart Bass goes up to his son after the press conference and says it went well. Chuck wonders what happened to being partners, that it was a family business but then Bart says that he was the one who said partnership. Bart did nothing, he just did what was best for the company.

Chuck: “this company still exists because I saved it. All I’ve done is work, protect your legacy …Blair has nothing to do with how I’ve handled this business. “

Bart: “and pine after Blair Waldorf … You didn’t try to trade her for a hotel deed? You didn’t let everything fall apart when you ran from here all the way to Europe? You just did 3 months ago, almost bankrupt yourself to get her out of her marriage? I had hoped you had grown out of his such behaviour but you’re still willing to throw everything away for a girl that hasn’t done anything but toy with you and you prooved that when you took that engagement ring.

Chuck: “You gave me that ring. You encouraged me to win her back.

Bart: “It was a test to see if you were ready to be a Bass. The things you need to do to be a great man and you failed.”

Chuck: “Failed?! I got you out of hiding, I took  down your enemy, I built this empire!”

Bart: “No, no, no, the most you’ve done is take my money to redecorate, Bass Industries needs to be run by a man,not a boy. You’ve never grown up. Maybe you can start now.”

Serena getting in the way of Blair’s plan

Serena stops Penelope from doing whatever she had to do from Blair even though she was fired anyway. Serena then asks her to not go to the Shepherd’s party and neither her friends. Serena meets Dan at the party and Dan tells her that he is glad that she is on the way to the party as well, then she tells him to stay of Gossip Girl again and he sees that she is at The Empire. Serena just makes up an excuse that she is probably telling Chuck that it’s over for good and that she is on her way to the party. While in reality Penelope just texted Serena saying that she will keep Blair at her own place. Dan gets a GG blast with the photo of Chuck holding the proposal ring and he is getting worried again but he stays calm until he first hears from Blair herself .  Serena ‘pushes’ a waiter by accident which causes all the drinks to fall on them and they will dry their clothes somewhere.

In the meanwhile Penelope is still waiting for Blair to change clothes and her mother comes in her room asking what she is still doing here. Blair already left, she went through Serena’s room to avoid Penelope. Serena and Dan are taking their clothes off (Serena has also received a text from Penelope saying that she lost Blair). Dan unzips Serena’s dress and looks at her too. They talk about Blair and communication. Serena confesses that she can’t protect Blair anymore, she tells Dan that she won’t ever change as he just said that he thought she had changed. Serena: “Don’t you see the Blair that you’re in love with isn’t the real one, it’s the one you created in your book. And she has always loved Chuck. She just used you to get in between us becaus she knew I loved you.” Then Serena kisses him and Dan doesn’t resist because he kisses back. They have sex at the bar.

After they have done it,they admit it was good and Serena tells Dan to not be surprised, that they were always good together. Then Dan find Serena’s cellphone, he sees the texts that Penelope had sent her. He now thinks that Serena had manipulated him to think it was over between him and Blair so that he would cheat on her. Serena tells Dan that they both did this. He asks her what he is going to do with the video as her cellphone recorded everything they did. He wonders if she is going to post is on Gossip Girl and then he goes away. Serena shows Dan a text message showing him that Blair really did choose Chuck and he replies with “I don’t know who you are anymore”.

Blair goes up to the roof top to find Chuck and talk to him.

Blair: “I’m sorry”

Chuck: “I don’t need your pity”

Blair: “I’m not here because I pity you. I’m here because it’s time I was honest with you. I love you, I’m in love with you, I’ve tried to kill it and to run away from it but I can’t and I don’t wan to anymore.

Chuck: “So what?”

Blair: “So? Now we can be together, isn’t that what you want? “

Chuck: “It was, before I lost everything”

Blair: “Bass Industries isn’t everything, I’m going to take over my mother’s company and it can be our future”

Chuck: “The only reason that Blair Waldorf designs has a future is because I gave mine up for it. My father was right, I’ve always put you first and you  bet against me every time and now I have nothing”

Blair: “You have me”

Chuck: “That’s not enough, I need a future”

Blair: “Then let me be a part of it”

Chuck: “I don’t want to be Mr. Blair Waldorf, I’m Chuck Bass”

One week later

Chuck has decided to work together with his uncle Jack Bass to go after his father Bart Bass and to get back what he had. Lola wonders if Nate really doesn’t want to go up North West with her but he can’t, as he has done so much for the NY Spectator he has to stay in NYC now. Nate asks where she has put CeCe’s money and she has found a worthy cause she replies.

Lily has decided to go for annulenemt papers instead of divorcing papers and she has decided to stay married to Bart. She has chosen Bart over Rufus. Bart asks if she is okay as it musn’t have been easy to make that decision but she tells him that he made it a lot easier because he was so supportive of her. He is looking forward to make it all up to her this Summer in the Hamptons. They share a kiss.

Serena visits Dan and says she has deleted the video of them doing it at the bar and she also tells him to not act innocent as it was mutual. He tells her that he was escaping his pain and that she was destroying her best friend, that those are two totally different things. She says sorry for what happened and then also tells him that she loves him but she also tells him that he wouldn’t have done it if he didn’t have feelings for her. And now there is nothing standing in the way of them she tells him but he says to her that there is no “us”. Dan: “There is only you and now that our parents are splitting up, I never have to see you again”. Serena leaves and makes a phonecall asking if a certain person is there and that she is on her way.

Lola meets up with Ivy and gives her the money  back that CeCe actually had given to Ivy. She thanks her but in return she has to keep the agreement they made, Ivy has to take down Lily after Lily sabotaged her mother.  Ivy tells Lola that she didn’t keep the money so that she doesn’t become like the rest of her family, Lola confirms that and then says “but you are”.

Blair has arrived in Paris and keeps on sighing according to her mother. Her mother wonders if it’s about leaving Serena behind and not speaking to her anymore. Blair says it’s not at all that but that those are “I love Paris” sighs. She says she can’t wait to start to work on her mother’s company. She convinces her mother that there is nothing back home holding her back anymore. Blair: “I know what I want and I’m going to get it”.

Chuck is also in France, he is at a casino in Monaco. He is there with his uncle Jack Bass gambling away. They are at 3 million and need 2 million more to buy their way in to the only game that can help them to take down Bart Bass.

In the meanwhile, back home in NYC, Nate receives a package from Diana Payne saying “could this be your Gossip Girl?”.  He sees a videotape from the evening when the real Gossip Girl took her/his laptop back. It’s a person who wears a black hoodie, no face visible of course.

Dan is in a limo waiting for someone and that someone is Georgina Sparks. He asks for her help, to take photographs of certain things, he wants to write a book about the Upper East Side, the book he should have written since the beginning.

Serena is in the train, the same sort of scene that we saw in the pilot of Gossip Girl. She is back to her old self, old habits and is using drugs again. Some random guy is licking her in the train too.

The season finale ends with a scene of Blair and Chuck at the casino. While Chuck and Jack are still gambling away to take down Bart Bass, Blair suddenly arrives out of nowhere.

Blair: “Is there a seat available?”

Jack: “Here, take mine”

Blair to Jack: “Thanks for the call”

Blair: “You’ve fought for me all year, I’ve come to fight for you.”

[guy at the gambling table to Blair]: “Will you be joining the game?”

Blair: “You said I’ve always bet against you but this time, I’m all in”

[guy at the gambling table to Chuck]: “Your bet, Sir?”

My favourite scene of the last episode of the 5th season:

My thought of the season finale? First of all I’m so happy that Blair will finally for Chuck, it was about time! Chuck’s face was just adorable in the end when he suddenly sees Blair at the casino. Can I also just say that Ed Westwick’s acting performance was phenomenal as usual? The way he shouted at his father, when he had tears in his eyes when Blair talked to him on the roof and then in the end when he saw Blair arriving at the casino. Anyway, Blair and Chuck just belong together. I feel so sorry for Chuck that his father once again has been so mean to him. Then, of course I’m so curious who the real Gossip Girl is and if we’ll find out in the final season (I’ve the feeling we will but we’ll just have to wait and I see I guess).  Georgina and Dan? Well that promises for a lot of trouble. What I want for the final season? A Chair wedding! Heck yes! Blair and Chuck are meant to be and have so much chemistry. So sad that it will be the last season though and only 10 episodes while before I heard 11 episodes. Ah well, all good things come to an end sometimes. I will enjoy it even more but will be very sad when it ends for sure. What will I watch next huh?

The story (may contain spoilers):

It’s basically the gang getting back together in town for their class reunion of ’99. They all meet up in a bar first but Stifler isn’t invited or he doesn’t know about it. Stifler visits that same bar by coincidence that evening when they meet up. He wonders what they are doing here and they make an excuse up that they misspelled his name and that he didn’t get an invitation because of that.   The guys hang out at the beach where they used to hang out when they were teenagers, they realise how mature they are, how grown up they have except for Stifler, he still wants to party.

When it’s evening, Oz, Finch and Kevin, they are talking with some of their ex-girlfriends from the past. Stifler is hanging out with a group of teenage girls, talking about Twilight and such (which is hilarious) and Jim talks with Kara, the girl that he used to babysit. Things get out of hand when Kara gets drunk and asks for a ride home from Jim, she tells him that she used to have a crush on him, etc, he is trying to calm her down and they almost crash into tree and she lands on his lap and napping, haha. Someone that he used to know, drives by and thinks it’s Michelle but it’s not. The event the day after is Stifler’s party, Stifler can’t believe how everyone got so boring, he decides to get Jim’s dad wasted, Jim’s dad later ends up talking with Stifler’s mom and they drink and get high, haha. Michelle has also come to the party with her friend from the band, Jim and her are having marriage problems by the way and they don’t do it so often anymore like they used to, especially since they had a child together called Evan. In the meanwhile, Oz kisses Heather, his high school lover and admits he still loves her even though they both still have a girlfriend and boyfriend. Now, I won’t tell everything that happens so if you want to know what happens more and how it ends with Michelle and Jim (their marriage problems), Heather and Oz, Finch finding his true love or not and so on, then just watch the movie.

My opinion (may contain spoilers)

To be honest, this movie was way better than I expected it to be, especially since it’s like the 4th American Pie movie. The fact that Stifler aka Stiffmeister is back in this movie makes is sooo much better! I also love the fact that it’s like 10 years later and that we see what each person has become or what kind of job they have or if they have a wife, children, etc. Then we see Stifler who hasn’t changed a bit but who does have a job now (not that he likes the job or boss) but who still looooves to party and being the dick of the gang, haha, my favourite part was when Jim said in the end “yes, you’re a dick but you’re a fun dick” and then someone else said “you’re our dick”. Then Stifler shouted at his boss who made him work late and who caused him to almost not come to the class reunion of ’99. I loved his comeback towards his boss, haha.  Another favourite part of mine is when Jim created a dating profile for his dad Jim and his dad came with all these sort of outfits for his profile picture, then Michelle did his eyebrows and he did this funny movement with his eyebrows. Then I liked the part where Jim had put on the special, kinky outfit that Michelle had bought for him to wear during Stifler’s party and he got chased by Kara’s boyfriend who had found them in the room. Jim thought it was Michelle but it was Kara besides him. The point is that it was hilarious when he ran from inside the house to outside the house and then everyone was kicking each other’s butt, haha. Some of my favourite Stifler scenes was for example the scene where Stifler had pooped in the icebox from the guys who stole the bikini tops from women on the beach and Stifler had also broken their jetski’s, lol! Then there was this funny scene on the beach where he talks to teenage girls about the Twilight books and he is like “New Moon is my favourite” and “oh my gosh, we have like sooo much in common!”, haha. As last, I think it was hilarious to see Jim’s dad getting drunk and I found it sweet that Heather and Oz got back together.  And,  oh, oh, loved the part when Stifler gets that grin on his face when he realises that Finch has a mother as well and they do it on the football field, haha. To cut it short, what made this movie awesome? In my opinion that’s definitely because Stifler aka Stiffmeister was back in this movie! I love that guy, haha. I like the actor Sean William Scott in general as well, he has also played in another favourite comedy of mine which is called “Dude, where is my car?”.

IMDB gives this movie a 7.5 and I agree, I would give this movie a 7.5 as well or maybe -8 as it’s better than you would expect from a 4th American Pie movie.

Today, Ed released a new music video called ‘Small Bump‘ from his successful album “+”. It’s the 5th single and the song is written about a friend of his who had a miscarriage, a very sad and beautiful song hence. Some people like it, some other people don’t. Everyone has their own opinion but I think the simplicity of the music video makes the song even more beautiful than it already is. There is so much emotion in it like it’s meant to be. There is so much emotion in his eyes. Can I also just say, that he is utterly beautiful in it?  You can tell that it’s really a personal video, the way that he sits waiting on that chair. Images speak more than actions I would like to say. The song is also very beautiful live, I remember when he asked the audience in Brussels, Belgium to be quiet during this song. It’s such a beautiful and touching song, end of.

WARNING: SPOILERS ALERT!

Last time we ended with Serena not being “Gossip Girl” anymore, the real “Gossip Girl” has taken her laptop back thanks to Nate and Lola. They were trying to help Serena to get her life back. Dan said no to Rome and Blair didn’t say “I love you” back to Dan .  Nate wants Diana to walk away from the Spectator forever as he found out that she runs a brothel. Then the biggest shocker of them all, Chuck found out thanks to Blair that his dad is still alive.

Bart Bass has been threatened

The scene opens with Chuck getting a flashback of when he saw his dad passed away at the hospital some years ago, thinking he was dead. Bart explains that he was lucky to survive it but that the car acident wasn’t an accident, he was threatened by a very powerful competitor of his. He explains that it wasn’t that easy to just call the police, he had to make his competitor believe that he had won, else he would take Chuck and Lily away from him, he had made Bart clear that they were fair game.

Blair at Dan’s residence

Blair picks up the phone when she hears Alessandro saying that Dan didn’t take the Rome offer and she confronts Dan about it when he gets out of the shower. She tells him not to be jealous, that he shouldn’t be worried at all about her being all Summer with Chuck. Blair tells Dan to take the offer, that it’s an amazing opportunity. She tells Dan to change his mind and call her again, that it’s not too late to change his mind.

Nate telling Diana to leave the Spectactor

Nate enters the office of Diana and tells her to leave the Spectator today, he wants her out of there today. She asks after all the fun they had, he still wants and he replies with what would people say if they would find out your side business. He tells her he can’t build the Spectator with having her around spreading lies and all of that. She tells him that he has no idea what she has gone through to legimitalise herself, she has worked for this paper and she won’t step aside.

Blair telling Serena that she found out that Dan had said no to Rome

Blair walks towards Serena at her residence telling Serena that she had found out this morning that Dan had said no to Rome simply because of her being with Chuck all Summer long then. She asks Serena if she can believe it and she says sort of. But before Blair walks away, she remembers that Serena was telling something else before and asks her what she thought she was going to say. Serena makes up a lie but the expert that Blair is she knows that Serena is lying to her. She asks Serena to tell the truth and so Serena confesses that she used to be post on Gossip Gir as “Gossip Girl”. Blair can’t believe her eyes and asks how that was possibe, Serena explains about Georgina leaving town, that she gave her laptop to Serena with the direct link to the server, password, software and everything. Serena thinks that Blair will be angry now but it’s the opposite, Blair suggested that she could have helped Serena with posting the latest news on Gossip Girl. She tells Serena that she enfurious of her for not sharing her fortunate and nepotence with her, then Blair heads off to the store to get some overpriced eyecream for her mother before her mother finds out that Blair has used it all up. Blair’s mother will arrive from Paris anytime soon. Serena offers to do it in her place but Blair wants to find another thing for Serena to do to compensate for what she did on Gossip Girl.

Bart telling Chuck that he didn’t plan any of it

Bar tells Chuck that he didn’t plan any of this, that he contacted an old friend as he needed help.  He is talking about Diana Payne who helped him keep safe and hidden from the world. Diana also informed him, for example when Chuck needed blood after he had been in a car accident, she called Bart for that. Chuck thanks Bart, his father for donating the blood to him that saved his life back then. Chuck wants to know so much right now and thinks that Bart will have the time to talk with him but there is no time at all because Bart has to flee again and hide. If the man that tried to kill Bart found out that he was still alive, he would try to kill Bart again he explains to Chuck.  Or the man would go after Chuck. Chuck suggests that they could go after him. Bart replies to Chuck that as long as he is still alive, everyone is in dangerous, he was supposed to leave last night but it got delayed because of the commotation that Chuck and his friends caused. Bart says goodbye from Chuck, he is happy that he has seen his son again, he didn’t think that he would ever get that chance again. Chuck: “what is this? You’re kicking me out? And then what? Going to disappear? Leave me alone AGAIN?!” Bart: “it’s for your own safety. I’m sorry.”

Chuck meets up with his detective Andrew Tyler and asks him to look up the person that was after his father before he was in a car accident. Andrew doesn’t seem to be very helpful as he says he can’t help Chuck with that and that it looks like a waste of time for both of them. Chuck gets into the limo again and tells him that if he can’t do it, that he will find another person that can do the research.

Dan has a surprise for Blair

Dan goes to Blair’s residence, sees Serena and as Serena asks what he is doing here, he tells Serena that he is looking for Blair as he has a surprise for her. After Blair is back home again and bought the eyecream for her mother, Dan comes to her and tells her the big surprise, she can join him in Rome. She doesn’t really know what to say besides “oh, wow, all Summer?”.  There is an interview first though before they can officially go to Italy in case she wants to spend the Summer in Italy with him.

Blair helping Chuck to save his father

Blair is on the way out and sees Chuck standing next to his limo and asks how he is doing even though she can’t really see him right now. She asks if he is okay, he answers far from it, he has to stop his father from leaving tonight. Blair can’t quite believe it that his father wants to leave. He explains Blair that he left to keep him safe and that it’s his turn to save his father. Chuck asks Blair if there is anywhere where she needs to be right and she nods and goes with Chuck into the limo.

At Diana’s office, Blair gets a phonecall and it’s Serena. She asks Serena if her mother is back and if she noticed the eyecream already. She says no, that it’s actually Dan who is waiting for her to surprise her with big news. She tells Serena that she is with Chuck, Serena can’t believe she is with Chuck now but Blair tells Serena that Chuck needs her, that he is going through extremely difficult times right now. Serena tells Blair that Chuck is taking Blair away from Dan right now and that Dan already has trust issues. Blair knows but that this is a matter of life or death. Serena convinces Blair to go home and see Dan to see what kind of big news he has to her. Blair tells Chuck that she needs to leave for a moment and he is fine with that as he can do this on his own now.

Chuck talking with Diana

Diana assumes that Chuck didn’t come to thank her as she helped to keep his father hidden and to protect his father by pretending to be his mother. Chuck just wants her help to  help him to keep his father here. She is afraid that it’s not possible but he thinks it is, he thinks that Diana knows where she has been hiding his father away from, he wants to know who it is, who tried to kill his father. Chuck knows it’s one of his competitors, powerful enough to scare him off and go into hiding these last few years. Chuck only wants a name. Diana wonders if his father knows that Chuck is at her office. Chuck tells Diana if she really wants to help his father, that she should help him put an end to this. If she tells him, he can never say who told him she tells Chuck. Diana also needs something from Chuck, a small request.

At The Empire, he is on the phone, making sure that everything will go according to plan and to make sure that his father can’t run away again. He talks about offering even more money. Then Serena visits Chuck and asks him if he is hungry. Right away it’s obvious that Blair has sent her to look out for him, he can see it too and tells Serena he is not hungry, she just tells Chuck that she own Blair a favour or 12. He doesn’t need a babysitter and there comes Diana, saying “besides, he already has one”.

As Nate walks into The Empire and asks what Diana is doing here. Chuck takes him aside and tells him that she will probably work for a British newspapers in exchange that he wouldn’t expose her activities. Chuck asks Nate to let her leave with her reputation still in tact. Nate wonders where the justice is in that, that she can just leave like that. Chuck tells it’s good business for both of them as Nate wanted her out of the Spectactor and it’s good for Chuck as she will help him to find out who was after his father before he had that car accident.  The only thing he has to do now is to finalise the deal with her.

Serena asking Blair what’s going on

Serena is still at Chuck’s Empire and calls Blair to ask what’s going on as Diana and Nate are there and it’s super tense. Blair tells Serena to just text the mood when they leave so that she can know then. Serena goes onto the next topic, asking Blair what the surprise from Dan was, she tells Serena it was more of an ambush. Dan got into this writing program in Rome and he wants Blair to go with him the whole Summer. Serena says in a funny way how he dares to do that but then says to Blair that it’s amazing. Blair told Dan that she had to check her calendar to buy herself some time to think. Serena asks Blair what’s to think about as Rome for the Summer sounds like a dream. Blair finds it a big decision and after spending last Summer in Louis’s place, she was hoping to do her own thing. Serena asks again if her decision really has nothing to do with Chuck and Blair says no, it’s totally not relevant to Chuck. Serena wonders why she can’t talk about it and she hates being out of the loop. Blair says it’s not up to her to talk about it, Serena just has to text her with updates to tell her how he is doing.

Lola asking Nate if Diana is going through with it

Lola arrives and asks Nate if Diana is going through with it, he says yes, that she is getting rewarded for her lies. Lola assures him that she will be gone soon at least. Nate is afraid that Diana will do the exact same games in London and that there is nothing they can do to stop her. Lola think the other way, that maybe they can. Chuck didn’t tell anything to her to keep it a secret. In the meanwhile, Chuck and Diana shake hands, it seems like they made a deal.

Blair’s decision about Rome

As Dan sees Blair walking towards him, he asks her what the verdict is about Rome. Blair is in and smiles and Dan replies with great. Dan will call someone from the programma to come over for the interview. Blair looks a little bit worried though. They are getting the room ready for the interview, Dan asks her if it’s not a little too much as it’s just one person and it’s probably just an interview to make sure that they are a stable couple. Then Blair gets a text rom Serena saying that there is some plan with Diana. Blair makes up a quick excuse that Dan is right but that it’s not enough, they need jelatto,no pastries. She tells Dan that it’s better to impress them with Italian culture.  Dorota offers to do it for her but Blair insists on doing it, that they have plenty of time and that she will back in an hour.Dan doesn’t like the sound of this.

Diana asking Chuck if he is sure about it

After they made the deal, Diana asks one more time if Chuck really wants to know the name of the person that tried to kill the person after his father tried to protec him. She would hate to see this end in tragedy. Chuck is sure he tells her as they have a  deal. Mason Nevins, one of his father’s competitors who organised crime and liking for twins. Chuck doesn’t care about that person’s s*xlife but Diana says he should. He is quite the family man Diana says. She gives Chuck a hint about letting that guy get caught with twins. She gives Chuck an address and time of where he will be and Chuck thanks Diana for doing business with him. Then Diana takes the address away out of his hands when she receives a phonecall from Marlene The New York Times and she says the deal is off and goes away. Chuck looks at Nate and Lola and asks them what they have done. Nate tells Chuck that it wasn’t right letting Diana get away without any consequences. Lola tells that this was beyond business, that it was personal and Chuck tells Lola that she has no idea how personal it was. He made that deal with Diana so that she would help his father to get out of hiding. Serena interrupts him and asks him if with father he means Jack and he finally tells Serena that it’s Bart, that Bart is still alive.

Serena and Nate ask Chuck if his father Bart never contacted anyone, not even Serena’s mother. He says no, that it’s a little risky. If he is right, Lily was in the process of choosing Rufus. He only went  on hiding to save his own son after the car accident. Chuck was hoping to return his father the favour but now Lola, the girlfriend of Nate ruined that plan as she exposed Diana. Nate tells Chuck to ease up as none of them knew about his father Bart still being alive so neither did Lola. Serena asks if there is anything they can do to help but Chuck is not sure. If the guy finds out that his twins aren’t there, he needs to find a plan. Blair steps in and tells him, he only needs to find new girls, no new plan.. Blair commands Nate to go to Diana to  give them some more time, he needs to stall Diana.

Nate overhears Diana calling Bart, she tells Bart that he is departing earlier than scheduled and that she is coming with him. Nate texts this news to Chuck afterwards.

Lola and Ivy Dickens arrive and they want to play the twins for that person. Ivy would love to help and she wants to be back in the gang. Everything seems to be okay with it but Blair tells Ivy that to begin with she should be in the gang to begin with it. Serena says that they don’t need Ivy, that she can replace Ivy but Blair comes up with another acting job for Serena.  Blair wants Serena to act like her during Dan’s interview for Rome. The interview that Blair would normally be in time for. Dan is surprised to see Serena acting as Blair of course. The man asks where the gelatto is (haha). When the man receives a phonecall during the interview, Dan asks where Blair is and that if she didn’t want to come to Rome with him, she should have told him. Serena tells Dan that something came up, he asks Chuck? She says she is with her mother Eleanor, shopping and that she knew how important this was to him and that she had sent Serena to be in her place. Dan can’t believe Blair and wonders what could be more important.

Blair preparing Lola and Ivy to be twins

Blair has picked out some lingerie for Lola and Ivy to wear when they will act as wins for that guy that wanted to kill Chuck’s father many years ago and who has a thing for twins. She tells the girls to act like pros when Evan shows up, that they are in charge. Lola asks what to do in case he wants to touch them and she tells her to push his arm away and tell him no, to treat him like a dog, the way he is. Ivy then wonders how she knows that this will work. Blair tells them it’s not the first time that she has been trapped with some prostitutes. She gives the girls handcuffes and then when Chuck comes in to burst in to take pictures, their work is done. She also suggests Lola and Ivy to handcuff the guy to the bed to make it a lot easier for the rest.

Nate stalling Diana while she packs

Nate comes in after he received a text from Chuck to stall Diana before she heads off to see Bart. He wants to give a proper goodbye when she asks him what he is doing  here. He explains it’s not in that way she thinks, her friend of The New York Times is on her way to them and might be interested to hear Diana’s story with the help of her daily planner which he has a copy of, besides, she doesn’t care about anyone but herself he tells her. Diana tells a story about that she made some bad choices earlier in life but that running The Spectactor and being with Nate was the happiest she has ever been but Nate doesn’t believe her. He tells her that she lied to him the moment they met in LA and that she is lying right now as well. Diana tells him that she never lied about her feelings towards him. She almost begs Nate that she can’t start a new life with her name in the headlines and on top of that him humiliating her there.

 Serena acting as Blair  + Dan and Blair got into Rome

Even though Serena acted as Blair at the interview, they got into Rome. He tells them they look like a lovely couple. Dan asks if they got in and the guy says of course, that it was just a formality. The doors of the elevator opens and it’s Blair’s mother Eleanor, they meet and present themselves and as Eleanor says she is Blair’s mother, the guy tells her that he knows where Blair gets her good looks from now. Eleanor smiles and steps out of the elevator and yells Serena and Dorota comes instead and pretends to be Serena so that the guy doesn’t suspect anything weird. Dan asks Eleanor where Blair is and Eleanor replies with that she hasn’t seen her yet. This surprises Dan of course as Serena had told him earlier on that Blair went shopping with her mother. Dan asks Serena again where Blair really is and Serena eventually tells Dan that Blair is with Chuck. Serena tells Dan that he just has to trust her. He doesn’t know how to trust her if she doesn’t even love him, she hasn’t said I love you to him yet. Serena tells Dan that she knows for sure that Blair cares about him but that it takes time.  Serena also eventually tells Dan the real reason why Blair has been with Chuck all this time because Bart Bass is alive. Dan just like Serena can’t believe what he is hearing.

Lola and Ivy following Andrew Tyler

Lola and Ivy are slightly getting nervous and prepare themselves to look sexy for the client. Then Andrew Tyler comes in an asks them if they are Diana’s girls. They tell him to lie on the bed but then he tells them that he is not the client. Andrew tells them that Chuck has sent him, they are in danger and so is Bart and Evan’s got wise to his plans. Chuck is on his way to see Bart now and they are supposed to regroup there and Chuck has apparently said that they know the way and so they go with Andrew Tyler out of the room as Lola knows the way.

Blair comes outside to Chuck

Blair walks towards Chuck telling him that he could have told her that the P.I.(private investatigor) would take pictures of them as she told the girls that he would do it.  Chuck says he was and asks what Blair is talking about. Blair tells him about her seeing Andrew Tyler getting into the elevator and asks him if he hadn’t sent him and he hasn’t he says, he hadn’t send Andrew Tyler anywhere.

Lola and Ivy arrive at the brothel house together with Andrew Tyler trying to find Bart Bass. Lola and Ivy can’t find him in the same room that he was in before and they search further, Andrew suggets that he comes with them for security. Then Ivy says oh wait, there he is already. A bunch of security guards and Bart + Chuck and Blair come in. They set Andrew up. Bart asks Andrew if he is surprised to see him alive still. Bart confronts Andrew about seeing him the last time before the accident happened many years ago. When Blair told Chuck that she had seen Andrew at the hotel earlier, Chuck started to think. It wasn’t a competitor who tried to kill his father Bart but it was him, Andrew. Andrew explains to Chuck that someone threathened Andrew and his family. It was either Bart or them so Andrew turned. What Andrew doesn’t know that behind other doors there are policemen recording his confession and soon after his confession, Andrew is arrested.

Thanks to Chuck, Bart is free again and this time he can stick around. Chuck and Bart hug.

The end of the episode

Serena asks Blair how it went and she replies that it went pretty great as Bart Bass is alive and safe. Chuck stayed up there and they were talking to the police. She tells Serena that she would have been proud if she liked either of them when Serena asks about Lola and Ivy. Blair thanks Serena for covering for her for Dan. Blair talks about the news that she and Dan got into Italy and Serena says that it’s great news. It is she says but she hopes that they won’t be disappointed with the real Blair Waldorf when they meet her. Serena says they won’t be but that she will have to teach English at a  local school while she is there. Serena talks about the “I love you” topic, if she is ready to say it to Dan yet. Blair: “I’m not ready, I really want the next person to say it to, be the last”.

Chuck sees his father packing and asks him if he is packing to go home and he says yes. Now that they got Tyler’s confession, they just need Evan’s confession and then he can show his face again. Bart takes the time to thank his son Chuck, he didn’t think that this would be possible. The way that Chuck took control, the way he got him out of this mess, made him think thathe did something right raising Chuck. Chuck then says that he and him both know that he didn’t really raise him as his father was always too busy with those women to teach Chuck any of those life lessons except about those inapproriate transiate women. They also talk about how he should break the news to Lily, Bart isn’t sure as his marriage was on the rocks and he and Chuck were going through a difficult time. “Maybe hiding all these years was easier than facing things at home”.

Lola dressed in a shirt asks Nate how Diana escaped. He said it went very fast but whatever happened, he doesn’t think that they will see her again. Lola says good, then I can have your full attention now. Nate gets a text then from Diana saying ‘”Thx again, love”.

Blair and Dan discuss Summer plans in Italy and once again Dan asks if Blair is really sure about joining him in Rome as Chuck’s father is back and alive. It will change Chuck’s world deeply, Blair says yes, his world but not mine. Dan asks what is reallyhappening between us, Blair says to him that there is nothing more that she wants than spending the Summer right by his side. In the meanwhile, Dan realises that someone should inform his dad about the fact that Bart Bass is alive.

Serena and Dorota have a small talk and Dorota is happy to see the smile back in Serena’s eyes. Dorota finds it so nice to see Dorota not sitting behind that computer anymore. She says it feels good to have her life and her friends back again. Then Serena gets a Gossip Girl blast and not a text from Blair like she expected which says:

“Evening, Upper East Siders. Many of you have complained I’ve been too kind to S and B these last few months. But all of that is about to change. Because I’ve got a page from Blair Waldorf’s diary, where she tells all about who’s really in her heart. And there’s lots more where that came from courtesy of her BFF SVDW. Xoxo Gossip Girl”

What did you think of this week’s episode?

My thoughts of this episode: First of all, I’m really happy for Chuck that he is reunited with his father Bart Bass and that he is still alive + that he saved him. I can’t wait to see what will happen when the rest of Upper East Side will hear the news that Bart Bass is still alive such as Lily. Then the Gossip Girl blast in the end means war for Blair and Serena next week, especially if you have seen the promo’s fo next week already which is the finale of the 5th season by the way! I’m crossing my fingers that Blair will choose Chuck even though Chuck says in the Canadian promo that he doesn’t want to be “Mr. Waldorf” and that he “has to move forward with his life now”. Like we are used to, these promo’s are always misleading so I’m still hoping for Chair to be endgame! I hope that Blair will proove to him that she is the one and that she will choose him and that Chuck will realise as well that they belong together. In any case, Blair will make a decision between two men in the finale of the 5th season, so exciting! Also, it seems like it’s not going that good between  Chuck and Bart when you watch the promo’s for next week, poor Chuck but I’m proud of him for standing up against his father as he indeed built The Empire when his father was gone all these years. Ed Westwick is a brilliant actor by the way, he really is my favourite actor. He is even sexier when he gets angrier (just look at the scene where he yells at his father Bart in the Canadian promo)

WARNING! SPOILERS ALERT:

Last time we ended with Nate trying to figure out Diana Payne’s real story by taking her personal diary with him and Chuck is wondering who his real father is now . He thinks it might be Jack Bass as he saw that Jack Bass has the same tattoo as the guy who is on the picture with his mother of when he was born.

Diany Payne’s daily planner

Jack Bass is on the phone with Diana Payne and asks if everything is settled for tonight’s operation and she says yes, that everyone is still thinking about the fact that she is Chuck’s mother. Then she can’t find her daily planner in her drawer anymore and rings up Nate as she suspects that he took it last time. Nate pretends he doesn’t know anything about it and she nearly believes him, she says she will see him next if she can’t find it.

Chuck is stuck with Diana’s daily planner that Nate took for him to that they can figure out if Jack Bass is really his father but everything is written in some special code which they are trying to understand. As they can’t find Jack Bass, Nate suggests that they should hire someone  professional (like someone from the military). It’s kind of crazy to go that far to hide your secrets Nate says.

Nate and Lola talking about Serena who is “Gossip Girl”

Lola gave Nate the paper which she took last time from Serena which has the login and password of “Gossip Girl” but he has no luck because apparently Serena changed the password when Georgina gave her the laptop.  Nate also finally believes that Serena is indeed “Gossip Girl” thanks to Lola and he apologizes to her. Nate and Lola discuss Serena being “Gossip Girl” and they both agree that she can’t stay as “Gossip Girl”, Nate says it’s not good for anybody, especially Serena., he wants Serena to see that for herself. Nate is also busy trying to figure  things out about Chuck’s real father and dig some dirt about Chuck’s fake mother so that he can force Diana out of the Spectactor.  Nate does suggest that he can ask for Gossip Girl’s help to take down Serena as he has her phonenumber still. Lola suggests she can pay a visit to Serena to dig out a little dirt about Diana.

Dan talking to Alessandro about a woman called Lucia

Dan’s is on his way to meet his agent Alessandro who has arranged a meeting for Dan with an Italian woman called Lucia so that he can get some inspiration for his next book. In the meanwhile Blair asks him what is ‘basically done’ to him, he says that  he is on page 2, he is blocked and needs a firebolt of inspiration. Then he heads off to meet the woman. Blair wants to find her old self again, gangsta Blair like she used to be and wants to go the METS steps. She says that Dan doesn’t need to worry, that she is done with fairytales, it’s time to get real. Blair also says that they are lucky, that she and him give each other the freedom to do whatever they want to. Dan says it’s because they trust each other and they kiss.

Chuck asking Blair for help to crack the code

As Blair walks on the street, Chuck stops by with his limo and asks Blair if he can help him to crack the code of Diana’s journal as he knows that she used to be so good at such things. Blair gets a text in the meanwhile from Dan saying that he can’t make it for lunch as he found inspiration. She then says to Chuck that it’s his lucky day, that she will help him and she gets into the limo with him.

Lola visits Serena and says that she shouldn’t trust Diana as she is planning to take down Serena together with the real “Gossip Girl”. Lola doesn’t know why she would do that but Serena does as Diana told her that she and “Gossip Girl” share a history together so “Gossip Girl” is probably using one of the secrets of Diana to blackmail her again. Lola asks Serena what she is going to do about it and she says she can’t do anything about it if those two work together. Lola suggests that she should figure out Diana’s secret first. How? she asks. Lola tells Serena that Nate has stolen her daily planner and that it’s all encoded and that noone knows what it says. It seems to her that if Serena breaks the code that she will know Diana’s secret. Serena tells that she once saw a black book lying next to the daily planner and that that might be the key to the code. She wants to try to get the black book if Lola helps her trying to crack the code and she says absolutely. When Lola is gone, it seems that Serena was chatting with Diana Payne and she was right, that they do have her book.

Serena doesn’t find the black book which should have been on Diana’s office desk but she is lying on the phone because in front of her is Diana who says that she is a brilliant actor. Diana asks Serena if she can fetch her journal for her, in other words stealing it from her friends. Serena asks what’s in for her and Diana’s answers that she will get “Gossip Girl”‘s phonenumber then as she has friends in high places.

Blair comes down the staircase with a dress that could easily be worn by Diana. “If you want to think like Diana Payne, you have to become Diana Payne”.  Chuck says that they need to find Jack and that he is happy that at this moment Diana isn’t really his mother. She asks for the book and tries to figure the code out. It’s not Caeser classic and she takes something that she used to have when she was younger, a cyfer slide (sp?). In third grade, she thought her mother read her diary and measurements had to be taken so she had that thing. She sees that there is something every first Saturday of the month and if they can crack those, they can crack the rest of the journal. Today, there is something planned again as it’s the first Saturday of the month. Chuck also remembers that Nate used to date Diana on those Saturdays and they suggest they try to jog his mind and see if he remembers anything about that. “It’s worth a shot, let’s go” Chuck says.

Lucia is a huge fan of “The Inside” by Dan and she says that she has ordered a huge box of copies for her office in Rome. Since Alessandro didn’t want to spoil the surprise, she starts talking about it. She cordially invites him to join this Summer’s artists in residence at the Italian Arts and Letters Institute in Rome. He is stunned and doesn’t know what to say, he is so happy and can’t believe it that he has been invited to that. He says that he could really use that, especially since so many known authors have gone to that institute. She says it’s perfect, settled then and that he will spend the entire Summer eating, drinking, living and creating. He is surprised that it’s the entire Summer and she says of course. “Is there a problem?” Lucia asks. He replies don’t think so but that he needs to talk to his girlfriend about it first as they haven’t discussed their Summer plans yet, that they should probably decide it together first. Lucia gives Dan some thinking but leaves tomorrow morning again and needs his answer by tonight. She does mention that he has to realise that many young writers would jump at this opportunity. Dan says of course.

Blair, Chuck, Nate and Serena back together like in the old days

The old gang is back together like in the old days + Lola trying to crack the code of Diana’s journal. Serena asks if she can see the journal so that she can maybe jog her memory but they say that Chuck has it. In the meanwhile Blair gets a phonecall from Dan saying that he got an amazing offer and she says that he should go fo it and go to Italy, she doesn’t want to stand in the way of an amazing opportunity, she wants Dan to take it. This doesn’t sound so great to Dan as she didn’t even think about it, she just said directly yes, go for it. As if she didn’t care at all that he is going to spend an entire Summer in Rome and that bothers him a little. He also hears from her that she is at The Empire with Chuck as he asked her help with a scheme. She asks Dan if he doesn’t mind,  scheming is classic Blair and she is getting her groove back, just like she wanted. Dan doesn’t mind at all but then says with Chuck? Blair replies and with Serena + Nate. He asks her one more time if he should really go to Rome and she says, she reminds him of their conversation this morning, that they let each other grow, they don’t hold each other back and she says see you later.

Nate tries to jog his memory when he was dating Diana if she did unusual things when they saw each other on Saturdays but nothing helps, not even going through his agenda. Blair says that now that have tried the easiest way, they have to try something else and she is going for the journal in her bag but it’s gone. Lola quickly gets up and yells Serena. Serena was about to leave and just before the doors close of the elevator, she is caught in the act of stealing the journal from her friends.

Dan told his dad Rufus that Blair is happy for him that he is going to Rome and Rufus asks why it’s a bad thing that she couldn’t be happier for him. Dan replies that he of course wants her to be happy for him but not that happy, she didn’t even have to think about it for a second. He also mentions that he heard Chuck in the background and it’s like Blair wanted him to leave so that she could spend all Summer with Chuck. Rufus reassures Dan that it should be okay, that Blair loves him. Dan tells his father that he shouldn’t go that far as they haven’t said I love you to each other yet, it takes time. They were at such a good place this morning and his dad says that it will sure be again like that as soon as they talk to each other about it. Dan agrees and will just wait until he has talked to Blair in person.

After they caught Serena stealing the journal from them. Blair asks why she did it, Serena says that Diana would give Gossip Girl’s real phonenumber if she would get it back for her. She finally has the chance to find out who Gossip Girl really is and that’s more important to her than helping Nate kicking Diana out of the Spectactor. Chuck then interrupts her and asks her “even more important than me finding my father?”. She asks what and explains to her that Diana lied to him, that she is not his mother, that Diana is covering for his father, his real father Jack. Serena apologizes, that she didn’t know, Chuck says that that book is the only chance in finding Jack. “Be with us, not against us” Blair says. “You have me, 100 %” Serena replies and she gives Diana’s book back.

Blair has arranged a spa appointment for Diana which will be done by Dorota. What she doesn’t know is that Doroto has a speaker in her ear so that everyone can hear what Diana is saying to Dorota. Nate doesn’t understand how Dorota will massage the code out of Diana. Blair: “watch and learn”. Dorota talks about how Diana missed her appointment last time and Diana says that it can’t be true, that she hasn’t missed that. Last time was on some Saturday and Diana says that she wasn’t even in the country then. She was actually in Europe, in Portugal. The gang tries to figure out what they have in Portugal besides that they speak Portuguese there and that they play pretty good football. Blair suggests that those codes could be international phonenumbers. She finds out through her tool that it’s a phonenumber from Portugal. B has actually cracked the code and has a phonenumber, Chuck calls the phonenumber and they get someone on the line. Chuck pretends that he is interested in the event tonight, she asks yes, how many? and he says three. The woman on the phone says some address to tell him where it is and they all look at each other wondering what it could be. Noone has a clue where they are getting themselves into. Chuck just hopes that Jack will be there. Nate hopes that there will be someone that can tell them who Diana Payne really is. They will drive to The Vardin House in Briarcliff Manor. Serena gets the book back in the meanwhile even though Blair doesn’t understand why Serena is suddenly so interested in it. Chuck has made a copy of it anyway.

Blair and Chuck get ready to go to The Vardin House while Dan gets a text from Blair saying that he shouldn’t wait up. Dan sees Blair getting into the limo with Chuck and asks a cab to follow that limo when they drive off. Serena gives back the book to Diana and Diana gives Serena Gossip Girl’s real phonenumber and says to her that she has to use it wisely. Lola takes the phonenumber out of Serena’s hand and says that she wants to GPS Gossip Girl. Serena wonders why she wants to help her and Lola just wants to help so that Serena can keep “Gossip Girl”. “Gossip Girl” is on the move and they use Lola’s van. Lola texts Nate in the meanwhile that they are on the way.

At The Vardin House

The Vardin House is apparently a brothel as they see almost naked women walking and dancing around. It’s more of a moving brothel house says Chuck, something that his father, Bart Bass used to own. Chuck Bass is almost sure now that Jack Bass will be here as well as he knows that Jack Bass wouldn’t want to miss an event like this for the world. Nate wonders what this has to do with Diana, Chuck says he should find out and that he will be able to get her out of the Spectactor in no time. A half naked woman goes up to Chuck and says that he looks like he needs a friend and Blair interrupts her and stands by Chuck saying that he has a friend.

The woman suggests that she could show them the bedrooms, the both of them. Nate finds Serena and Lola dressed up like waiters and asks why there are like that. Serena tells him that the guards asked them if they were Indy’s girls and they said yes and they got dressed like that then. They also tell Nate that they GPSed Gossip Girl and that it lead them to this brothel house.Nate sees Diana coming in and tells them to hide themselves before Diana finds it out. They also want to find out who this Indy/India woman is. Dan has arrived at the brothel house and is looking out if he can find something special. His dad calls and asks if they have talked yet, he says no. Rufus wonders where he is then, it has been hours. He confesses that he has followed Blair and Chuck, Dan worries about Blair being at some big mansion. Rufus is worried about Dan and he tells Dan to let Blair have her evening and let her tell about it herself when she sees him again.

Nate tries to see Indie by telling a guard that someone has put something in a glass of a girl, the guard tells Nate that such things happen around here. He tells Nate that Indie is upstairs and that she doesn’t see any visitors right now. Diana tells the guard that she will handle Nate and Lola but then she sees Blair and Chuck going upstairs and makes a phonecall. Blair sees Serena in the brothel house now too and asks her what she is doing here. Serena explains about her finding out that Gossip Girl is here. Blair goes further without Chuck and tells him that he should not been seen by Diana. Serena tries to call Gossip Girl, she hears a ringing but then a group of people come out of the door and the attempt to find out who the real Gossip Girl is has failed. Everyone has to go out of the brothel house, the party is over. In the meanwhile, Nate and Lola go upstairs and they find India aka Diana. Chuck finds Jack in one of the rooms and Blair finds someone in another room who is actually supposed to be dead, she gets the shock of her life.

Jack has to go away and Chuck says that he is not going anywhere until he gets some answers. Chuck tells Jack that Diana isn’t his mother even though he tells him that she sure is.”Admit it, you’re the one who has been behind the lies all these years” says Chuck. Jack asks Chuck why he has to be so dramatic about these things. He wants Jack to admit it that he is his father, he takes out the photo of Elizabeth of when he was born and points out that it his arm. Jack replies that the photo is 20 years old and that it could be anyone’s arm but Chuck says that it’s his tattoo on that arm. Chuck says that he has slept with Elizabeth his mother, once again Jack is denying everthing and saying that he has slept with so many Elizabeth’s over the years. It could be anyone. Chuck gets straight to the point and asks him if he is his father or not.  ”Are you sure you really want to know” Jack asks? And at that moment Chuck is being taken away by security. Blair is also being taken away at that moment and goes up to Jack asking if he has told Chuck yet what he really is hiding here.

Nate and Lola are still talking to Diana and they tell her, whatever her name is, Indie or whatever that it’s over unless she wants everyone to know that she was at a high prostitution ring. He tells her to walk away from the Spectator forever and Lola tells her that she once dissapeared from the Spectactor and that it’s time for her to do it again. Diana is “scared”, especially because they don’t have any proof that she runs that joint, that place. Diana tells him that she could also easily write something about him, about how he was looking at the girls at the brothel house and he says he will take his chance once the cops get here. What cops Diana asks as she is the one who wanted everyone to get out. Lola comes up with the idea of Serena posting it on Gossip Girl, Nate tells her not to worry because he knew about it already. Serena doesn’t have her laptop with her but tries to send the blast through her phone but access is denied. Her password doesn’t work anymore. Diana walks away in the meanwhile that Serena is trying to log in.

Blair is still with Jack and he tells her that whatever or that she thought she saw, she can not tell Chuck about it. She says that she will, that he has the right to know and there is nothing that he can do to make her change her mind. Jack gets angry with Blair and says “this isn’t about me, do you realise how many people would get hurt if this gets out? you need to go, you already have complicated things enough by being here. This whole thing was supposed to go off without a hitch. You better hope it still does.”

Serena comes back and tells Lola and Nate that her computer is gone. Lola sighs and tells her that Gossip Girl took it back. Serena asks how she knows that.  They have set her up, Nate gave it back to Gossip Girl after they had gotten the address for tonight and Lola made sure that she followed her cellphone all the way to the brothel house. Serena has changed the password on her site and Gossip Girl actually needed the laptop. Lola is sorry for Nate that she grabbed before Serena could send that blast about Diana. Serena is shocked that they did this to her but Lola says what, so you can anonymously attack people such as your friends and me. Serena says that that is different. That the old Gossip Girl hurt people but that she is different. Nate disagrees with Serena, tells her to look at herself, she cuts herself off from everything and everyone that you care about. It’s not right and Serena says neither is tricking me. He tries to convince Serena that he did it to help her, not hurt her and that it’s over now,  the real Gossip Girl is back. Serena says she has the real phonenumber of Gossip Girl, she tries to call her but the phonenumber doesn’t work anymore.

As soon as everyone is out, Chuck is trying to reach Nate but he doesn’t pick up and assumes he is gone home with Lola. He asks Blair if she has seen Serena when she comes outside, walking towards Chuck. As soon as Chuck sees her face, he knows that there is something wrong. After all these years, what they have been through, there is no room for secrets he tells her after she tells him if they could just go home. She then tells him “I think, once everyone is gone and it’s quiet, you need to go back into that house”. He lets Arthur get her back to the city and he stays behind to go back into the house later.

Dan calls Lucia and tells him that his girlfriend wants him to go, she says fantastic but in the end he says to her that he is not going.  He tells her that he can work anywhere but he doesn’t think that his relationship can and right now, both of those things are very important to him. Lucia finds it a pity that he won’t be joining and Dan replies with “maybe next year”.

Jack tells Diana that it was a great way of how she diverted the people out of the house earlier on. Diana has also doubled her “e” or whatever it was and Jack says that it’s a lot of  cash. “Silence is expensive, you know that” Diana says. “Once the boat departs, it will be taken care of , don’t worry” Jack tells her.

“Gossip Girl” back yet?

Nate and Lola are at The Empire, having a drink and Lola is asking Nate if “Gossip Girl” is back up yet. He says no but as soon as she is, he will need her help to tell th world that Diana is our generations high device. Lola says he shouldn’t hold his breathe if she were him. Serena says that “Gossip Girl” has always known about Diana and will probably never write about it. Now Nate is thinking about running the story about Diana on the front of his own newspaper and Lola says he should do it. He thinks that she is joking but she is not, she doesn’t see a downside and suggets he should at least think about it. Nate will think about if she thinks about it with him and they kiss.

Serena no more “Gossip Girl”

Dorota finds Serena eating berries in the dark and wonders why. Serena replies that she probably has forgotten to eat dinner tonight. She asks Serena where her computer is and she says that that laptop belonged to someone else, she took it back. Dorota proposes to Serena to buy her a new laptop at Best Buy, that Serena will feel better, in control again but Serena thinks that that is not possible anymore. When Dorota leaves, Serena gets a blast from the real Gossip Girl again. It’s about Blair heading back to Brooklyn. “Spotted: Blair Waldorf, headed back to Brooklyn. Haven’t we paid the toll enough for that relationship already? Xoxo Gossip Girl”

Blair has returned to Dan and is glad to see her, he was about to give up on her. How was your day of scheming he asks her and she asks him if he is upset with her. He says no, that is upset with the woman from the institution because apparently they wanted more (of course that’s a lie). She says oh no, how is it possible and he doesn’t know but it means that she’ll be stuck with him all Summer. She is sorry to hear that but she herself is not sorry and kisses Dan. She wants to go out eating with Dan and talk about the crazy evening she had and how they ended up at a brothel house. Dan says “hey, you do know that I love you, right?” Blair replies with “I do now”. She smiles and says come on, let’s go. Dan doesn’t look too happy about how Blair replied to his ‘I love you’.

“Of course, everyone knows that on the Upper East Side that nothing lasts forever and where one door closes, another one always opens. The only question is, who is waiting behind it?”. Chuck is at the brothel house again and goes upstairs, goes to the room where Blair was … he opens the door and with a shocked face … he sees … BART BASS, alive and kicking!!! And Diana is there too. Chuck: dad? Bart Bass: oh my god …

What did you guys think of this week’s episode?!

My thoughts of this episode? My first thoughts of this episode were of course what everyone else was thinking, wow, what a twist in the end! Didn’t see that one coming up. What a shocker! Why has Bart Bass been faking his death all these years?! I hope we’ll find that out in next week’s episode. Then, Blair not saying I love you back to Dan, auch, but I’m hoping that this means that she still loves Chuck too much to say it back and that she loves Chuck more than Dan, that Blair and Chuck will be endgame like I have been saying many times before.

I have been away for a few days but for a reason, I was in the UK for a short while to see Nina Nesbitt at The Bowery in London. Yes, I went to the UK to see Nina and yes it was worth it! Her supports acts Lewis Watson and Kirsten Powell were great and she herself was amazing as usual! I enjoyed every second of it. Before the gig, I also met her mum Caty Nesbitt and we had a little chat. When she found out that I was the girl that had travelled 7h from Belgium to the UK, she hugged me and also my sibling. She thanked us that we came all the way from Belgium to see her daughter Nina and she thanked us for supporting Nina. I said you’re welcome and it’s worth it. We talked about all kinds of things, about how proud she must be of her daughter and more. I also purchased my Nina Nesbitt merchandise in advance, I thought that that was the best thing to do because afterwards it’s always busier, Nina mum’s also suggested it would be probably better to buy it in advance as I was planning to purchase quite a lot, LOL, luckily the prices were okay. In the end I went home with one Nina Nesbitt t-shirt, a physical copy of “Live Take EP” and “The Apple Tree EP”, a lovely bracelet made by Nina and her mum. Before the support acts and in between the support acts, I gave Nina two things that were made by two friends of mine. One was a NickyToon that my dear friend Nicky made of Nina, she really loved it, was so happy with it and thought the cartoon was amazing. She signed one for Nicky, one for me and one was for herself of course. The second thing was a drawing made by a girl called Mia who is from Denmark and who I know through Twitter. She really wanted Nina to see that drawing and so I suggested she would send it to me and I would give it to Nina and so I did that. Nina was happy with that drawing as well. Of course I also gave Nina something, two things actually. The first thing was a bracelet made out of beads which says her name and there is also an apple attached to it. Second thing were Belgian Leonidas chocolates as I had asked her whether she had tasted Belgian chocolates yet or not and she said no, that she didn’t have the chance to taste Belgian chocolates yet. She was so happy with everything I had given her, she even called it a bag of presents on Twitter and later on she also tweeted that she was tasting the Belgian chocolates. Oh, yes, another thing I gave her was a photo she could choose, I had printed out photos from her supporting Ed Sheeran in Brussels in March. She was really happy with that as well. Afterwards I realised though that I had a double of each photo so next time I see her, I’ll give those other photos as well. Then it was time to go downstairs, the gig was about to start. It was a nightbar and the gig itself was downstairs in a sort of a cellar (which was quite chilly in the beginning but later on it was warmer).

First up was the young but talented girl Kirsten Powell, she sang a few songs of her own such as “Constant Reminder” (which I really liked) and a cover by Hellogoodbye which was “Here In Your Arms” (she really likes that song and it reminds her of high school). She sang about 30 minutes I believe and then there was a 5 minute break and Lewis Watson came on stage. Lewis Watson is 19 years old and has been busy with music for years he told me after the gig (we had a little chat). He sang mostly songs of his most recent EP which came out this month and it’s called “It’s Got Four Sad Songs On It BTW”. He sang “What About Today?”, “Bones”, “Nothing”,  a cover by Paolo Nutini called “Rewind” (which is like one of his favourite songs ever, he said he often gets lost while singing this song).  When he was done, I got myself ready to get front row to see Nina Nesbitt as close as I could because it was time for her to come on stage. I didn’t get first row but almost, I was in between first and second row, haha (if you can say that). I had a good view in any case and that’s what matters. When she came on stage, she was beautiful as always, had her guitar ready. She thanked the audience for coming to her gig and the first song she sang was “Noserings And Shoestrings” and she ended with “The Apple Tree”. She also sang two covers which were “Love The Way You Lie part 2″ by Rihanna (she uploaded that cover like two years ago when she just started out on YouTube. She decided to practise and sing that song again) and “Stay Awake” by Example.

In the end of her set, she once again thanked us for the support, for having come to the gig and she mentioned me. She said something like this “there is even someone who came all the way from Belgium to see me, Laura-Lisa, thank you so much”. I was stunned and didn’t know what to say but have a big smile on my face and putting my thumb up in the air because I liked what she said and I appreciated it so much. I believe she also thanked my brother for having come to the UK to see her but not sure about that anymore, I was just on cloud 9 when I heard her mentioning me at the end of her gig. It was worth making the journey, I enjoyed every second of it and she was amazing live. I really loved all the songs she did but my favourite ones were “Hold You”, “Love The Way You Lie part 2″ and her new song “Too Much To Ask”. Yes, she indeed performed a new song, which she wrote like two weeks ago, written whilst she was angry.  ”Make Me Fall” was also a favourite of mine as it’s one of my favourite songs by her, I loved how she divided the audience by gender to sing along. The males had to sing the lower part and the females the higher part of the song. I also love, love seeing and hearing Nina on the piano, it’s so beautiful, especially live! However, I love Nina both on the piano and guitar.

I said to Nina after the gig that she was great and I also thanked her for mentioning me (even though she shouldn’t have to, it was worth it). Then I chatted a little bit with Lewis Watson and told him that he was also great and that my favourite song of him is “Bones”. I asked him where he gets his inspiration from, if it was Ed Sheeran for example and he said to me that Ed Sheeran definitely opened the doors for him, he showed him that you can get far with a guitar only as well but that he has been busy with music for quite a while. Then I said, I would get his EP but not now as I didn’t have any cash left (after buying all that Nina merchandise, haha), I said I would get it on iTunes soon. As last, I asked him if I could get his autograph, if he had a photo or a piece of paper which he could sign. He looked around and then grabbed a physical copy of his EP and said, you know what, I’ll give you this one. I was like, ahwww, that’s so sweet, thank you! He said it was no problem, asked my name and so he signed his EP for me and gave it to me. I thanked him again and said that he was great and I wished him all the best in the future and he thanked me again. I also have a photo with him.

Then I talked to Nina Nesbitt again after it got a little calmer. She signed a few things for me such as the setlist and the Live Take EP and The Apple Tree EP. I also purchased The Apple Three EP for a friend of mine who had asked for it and who is also from Belgium. It’s the same girl that I went with when Ed Sheeran came to Brussels. It’s the least I could do and luckily Nina didn’t mind signing those things. Nina is really lovely and so down to earth, I love talking to her.  Then I had a photo taken with her and she had put a cap on me which she had gotten from DopeChef. Hence, the cap says Dope Chef, haha. I really adore that photo of us, it’s so funny and awesome, haha.

All by all, I had a great time, Nina Nesbitt was amazing as usual and her support acts Kirsten Powell and Lewis Watson were great! I had lovely chats with Nina, Nina’s mum Caty Nesbitt and Lewis Watson. It was also a cosy venue, there were maybe like 20-30 people attending the gig? A very intimate gig it was which I love. Everyone was silent when it was needed and everyone sang along when they had to. It was just perfect. Thank you so much for an incredible evening Nina! It was worth making the journey and I hope to see you again this year. She told me that she was probably coming to Belgium at the end of this year so yay! Looking forward to that already. Have fun touring and wish you all the best in your career and in the future!
